Hi,

In Project Server 2013, we are using "Hours of work done per period" option for the team members to update their tasks.

Team members update more than planned hours for some days and submit their tasks.

As a project manager how to see the planned work for a task in approvals page in PWA?

Because before approving PM has to see what was the planned work for a task.

     I have a project that was created with Project Pro 2013 and it uses several Hammock Tasks to represent the amount of time that we are giving third party contractors to do their task.  So if we delay, or if the project completion date moves, the amount of time that we give our vendors changes.

     This works without a problem in Project Pro 2013, but when I upload it to Server I get a warning box that says, "Saving the Project Web App will remove all links to resources in the file."  Is there a way to save the file to Project Server and retain the links if we are not using the web app to manage the files and do all of the editing and viewing with Project Pro on our local machines?

We are stuck at a point and need your urgent help with Project Server 2013 integration.

We have developed few API's through PSI and trying to connect Project Server. Ending up with the following error:

"The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Ntlm'. The authentication header received from the server was 'NTLM'"

Any clues as how to fix it?

I am facing problem in installing Project Server 2013 updates/hotfixes after SP1 (KB 2880553)

I install May 2014 update/hotfix (KB 2880484) then dialogue box says:

Hotfix for Microsoft Project Server 2013 (KB2880484) 64-Bit Edition.
The installation of this package failed.

When I run: (get-spfarm).buildversion it shows 15.0.4569.1000
but in Central Administration "Manage Patch Status" it shows15.0.4571.1502

Also my SP1 setup file properties details says, this file is 15.0.4571.1502 then why SP Management Shell command says 15.0.4569.1000

Is there any pre-requisites of PS 2013 SP1?

How do I proceed with this issue?

One 135 is displayed differently on my MS Project Professional Client as following:

1. On Server, the task has three resources with name displayed properly

While on the client, only two resources are displayed, and the third is displayed as [8]

2. On Server, the task duration is 1d,

While on the client, the task duration is 121d

Given that, another Project Professional client displays all properly the same way like the server

Questions are:

1. Why the resource is presented as [8] on this client? Yes, he is not found in the [Project Resources].

2. Why the duration is 121d instead of 1d on this client?

3. No question about the difference in tasks dates at the moment, presumably to be a consequence of the causes of the previous points.

When  I try to open some programs I am getting  the following  error message

We have implemented the below scenario

Installed project server 2013 and configured a project web app instance. We have created a project (sample) and also created a OLAP cube for the same instance . The cube build was successful.  We then tried to test the reports in the reports library of the project web app instance. We have opened the "Project Overview" in excel and tried to refresh the data connection. We ended up with the following the error



We have tried the following 

1. Created a new project by deleting the older project

2. Build the olap cube once again

3. Created a new cube by deleting the older cube

4. Tried checking in ULS logs where the analysis service is configured and project server application service is running.(we could not find the error log)

5. Tried opening the OData files in excel. The files are opening without any issue

please let us know what we are missing here.  We are unable to narrow down the issues

We are using On-premise Project server 2013 Alerts and reminders. But we want to change the email content that it triggers to users. We would like to modify the message it sends. Please let me know how can this be done.

Error messsge: the enterprise global already contains a table named “Enterprise Entry”.

Do you want to replace the table with the one from the enterprise global, replace all items with duplicates, rename the table in the project, or cancel opening the project.
Please tell what to do if I see this error while opening an plan or while saving this plan?

Dear Experts

Is it possible to make custom view as default view in project professional 2010?

I have created custom view in (Project Professional) which contains below columns (for an example)

1. Task ID

2. Task Name

3. Duratio

4. Work

5. Actual

then i gone to server settings --> enterprise global --> selected custom view (in the view bar) --> re-sized couple of columns --> saved the enterprise global and closed Project professional

Re-launched project professional --> opened existing project plan -->  still plan opened in gantt chart view

Help me on this

Even though a resource property is called "Initials", by default it only displays the first letter of the first name. Is there a setting in PS 2013 to show the actual user initials?

Hi,

I am trying to build a report which should show the currently running task among all the tasks listed under any project. Is there any way I can get desired results.

I want to show this report at organization level in single excel sheet(with all projects binded with the current task). So any solution in MSP would not help.

Dear All,

My query is :

When I am Publishing the Project in the Server it goes in Queue and its entry time is same as the date we have set as per system date but my Problem is when i look this particular queue job in my SQL server by running a query: select *  FROM draft.MSP_QUEUE_PROJECT_GROUP

then the created time and Modified time and Processing time is coming as diiferent but the date is coming correct.... I cannot understand how this time is getting change in my sql though my date is coming correct.

May this problem is aldo leading me towards the delay of processing of queue job.

Kindly provide answer for two things:

Firstly: If time gets change in sql server queue job query will it affect also the processing of my queue??

Secondly : how can i map up the exact time in mySQL query queue job with the Project Server Queue status in Manage queue jobs.

Kindly help to resolve out.
