I have one doubt in resource calendar, suppose we have a resource who keeps on rotating at onshore and offshore and we have separate calendars defined for both onshore and offshore as there are different working timing and duration.So once I change resource calendar from onshore to offshore,his capacity hours are changed(for all time) and problem is there is no track from where I can see for which duration which calendar was applied and obviously capacity should not be changed for past based on current calendar?
For example,if we change resource Max Unit then we have options to select the date From & To so that we can easily check by opening resource in project professional but same is not for Calendar where we can check which calendar was applied for which duration.
It would be great if anyone who see solution this can share ideas or suggestions.

I want to create project server app for displaying project list on grid

I have three users

User 1: user one is PWA resource and assigned task on Project 1

User 2: user two is PWA resource and assigned task on Project 1

User 3: this user is normal SharePoint user (not project server resource)

I have a list titled Project Prioritization that contains all of our projects that are currently active. What I would like to do is utilize a workflow to auto populate that list with a new project along with specific fields. (Preferably as soon as a PM creates a new project) Is this something that can be done utilizing SharePoint designer or would this require custom coding?

We are planning to migrate to project server Online and SharePoint 2013 online.

WITH OUT SQL DATABASE HOW CAN I SHOW THE PROJECT SERVER DATA IN SHAREPOINT ONLINE.

I am trying to display the WBS column from Project in the associated Tasks list on SharePoint. When I am outside of Project Web App I simply use the Map Fields option in Project Pro under Info. I cannot find a similar function when I am inside Project Web App.

I am aware that the list is supposed to sync automatically, but I would like to be able to actually see the WBS alongside the tasks when on the SharePoint site. Since WBS is a standard column in Project, I don't think I need a custom enterprise field.

When there is restructuring in your organization ... I want to be sure I'm considering the pros/cons of renaming part of the RBS vs. adding a new "department".

Example:

Format is Company.Department.Team Leader.Team Member

MyCompany.Support.TeamLeader.TeamMember needs to change to MyCompany.Software Support.TeamLeader.Team Member - is this ok to rename Support to Software Support?

I'm hoping someone will be able to help me with a bit of query :)

I've recently deleted a number of projects from Project Server 2013 (using the Delete Enterprise Objects in PWA settings). These all appear to have been deleted in both the Enterprise Object list and showing as successfully delete in the Queue, however the projects are still displaying within the Project Center views.

The only information I've been able to find online for this seems to relate to the use of timesheets, however timesheets are not being currently used so I can't see that being the issue.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this may have occurred and how I might fix it??

I am having an issue when trying to access the resource center. It just sits at the loading screen and will not load the resources.

I have tried to create a new page with the resource center web part but this did not work.

Is this a common issue? I could not seem to find any information about it.

I have a problem with a user using PP 2010.  This user is not connected to PS 2010, but he uses PP 2010.   We share a project file with him by sending it through email.  When he opens the file, all the formatting (color, etc) is lost.  We use a custom view part of the file.  When he opens the file, the custom view is there.  It is happening with this only one user.  What could be the problem?

Getting following error when i am trying to create an stage gate project/workflow in project server 2013. The submit button in the ribbon gets disabled and when i see the workflow status it is suspended. and getting following error message.

In "my assignments" or in "My Work" in PWA 2010, users can not see all assignments, only some tasks ie tasks with EDT number 20, 24, 29 are visible to report, but the tasks 21, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27,28 can not be seen.

all these tasks belong to a periodic task.

Has anyone seen any reported bugs surronding the resource matching feautre in Project 2013 (On-Line)?

I have done this before, so I know how this works.  In fact, I get different results when I try the Match button in Project Professional 2013 (on premise), versus when I try to use it via Build Team from Enterprise in PWA Project Details.  i.e., when setting up the custom enterprise resource field for matching I have selecting the option to use this field for matching, then I populated my resources' profile with a value accrodingly.

Also noted that I do not see the matching button when using the Build Team from Enterprise for Resource plans, is this normal?
