    Project server 2013 App

    I want to create project server app for displaying project list on grid

    Field: Project Name, start Date, end date

    I have three users

    User 1: user one is PWA resource and assigned task on Project 1

    User 2: user two is PWA resource and assigned task on Project 1

    User 3: this user is normal SharePoint user (not project server resource)


     Can I create SharePoint app which can show project to User 3?

    I am using a list in Project Server to gather information about potential projects, and then using the 'create project' button on the ribbon to create those which get approved.

    Most of the information captured in the list is mapping to fields in my new project, however the start date is continually ignored and instead the start date from the template plan is being used. Even if I manually update the start date in the EPT after creation, it will still revert back to the plan start date again.

    This doesn't happen when I create projects from the 'new' button in project centre, only when creating from my list.

    I also have a Project Online instance where this isn't a problem at all, and I can't work out if I have a setting somewhere that is different and causing this particular field not to map.

    Any insights?

    Have an issue with "Track my work" web-part:

    If I do not have an active risk/issue/task then web-part display "0" correctly. But then I have assigned (and published) task risk/issue/task web-part just empty. Can anyone help me to solve that problem?

    Hi, I am very new to OneDrive API.

    We have a Client-Server platform which stores some multimedia files coming from mobile phones (my clients).

    I wonder whether It would be a good idea to store those multimedia files on my server's OneDrive or not and if there is a size storage limit.

    We are currently running MS EPM 2010 on a Front Server that contains also some Web Applications (SharePoint 2010), our problem relies in the fact we have to perform a IISRESET (as recommended in in order to solve the error.

    This error casues that users cannot enter into their projects, and causes bad blood within EPM.

    Can you please give us some light? (We believe "a iisreset every "x" days  shall not be considered as solution.

    **Our FARM:

    *****1 Front Server (8GBs RAM, VM), 1 Application Server (8 GBs RAM, VM), 1 SQL Server (16GBS RAM, VM).

    *****EPM is running on the Front Server which also contains 5 more Web Applications. (Some of them are company intranets, accesed daily by more than 500 people -unique visitors).

    I explain all this, because we are figuring out that perhaps the issue has to do with "below-infraestructure" mounted.

    Using Project Server 2010

    I'm not really looking for a solution, I suppose.  Just looking for confirmation.

    We have users who can reassign tasks to other users through PWA.  From what I understand, if the task has not started, the system will simply replace the assignment.  However, if the task is in-work, it adds a new assignment to the task.  Correct so far?

    Where I have reassigned an in-process task, if I want to see baseline info at the assignment level, it will not exist for that new assignment.  Is that correct?

    In Devise Manager, the Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter, has a driver update, but it comes back saying, the driver update manufacturer can't be verified. How can I find the manufacturer info? So I can visit their website and verify that it's not malicious software?

    We are using Project Professional/Server 2013. I went into the PWA Resource Center, selected a large number of resources, then selected the "Open in Project" option from the ribbon. Once in Project Professional I updated two new Enterprise Custom fields and did a save/close. Once that had completed, some users had their security group removed from their user record thus preventing them from logging on (they get the "This site has not been shared" message).

    Any thoughts? I can't find any reference to this issue anywhere.

    In our current project server, we are having resources submit 0 hours if they are on PTO. We do not have a general task to submit hours against for time off. However, when the resources submit 0 hours across their current task, in the resource usage view, hours do not appear nor do the number zero show up. Therefore, when I pull resource data to get a week view of timesheet data of our resources, I do not know who hasn't submitted timesheet or took PTO. Keep in mind that we have about over 300 resources and I end up getting blanks when indeed the resource has submitted a 0 hour timesheet. Is there any way to show that the number 0 can populate into the project plan? This works in some instances, most times it doesnt'.

    We have fresh deployment of the Project Server 2013 and Exchange upgraded from version 2010 to version 2013 with 1 CAS+Transport and 1 Mailbox roles server. The integration was done according to the Technet, via running configuration script (### is the Project Server host name):

    The Project Server is able to create and update tasks for users. However the Out of Office time is not retrieved from the Exchange. The timer Job, when running Out of office synchronization job, is throwing the error:

    Hi, I have run some tests on the use of the Publish Flag in my project plan.  I can see that when I have tasks set to No then the assignments do not show up in any of the PWA views but the work values are still shown as assignments on the resource utilization page within resource center.  Is this correct behavior?

    I have an issue with building the OLAP Cube in Project Server 2013. After I activate the build process I see that an OLAP DB is being created under the Analysis Server but after a few minutes I receive the following error in the build proces status:

    I have configured "Manage My Resources' Alerts and Reminders" and able to receive email notification successfully but  the email notification is in a plain text format rather HTML format with task allocated information like Task Name, Start Date and End Date of task. I wanted to know how can we add project site link to that email so that the user can make user of that link and get into project tasks.

    Hi all, according to the below TechNet article If you use the Odata feed and Project Online you are limited to a max of 45 custom enterprise fields. I heard at the WPC last week that this is no longer strictly true but when I searched online I couldn't find any updates to the above article.

    Does anyone know what the current situation is? Ie are we still limited to the 45 fields?

    I saved the deliverable list as a template in project server 2013 project site,this template is not viable in project site for creating deliverable from this template.the same process is working for Issue list in project site.
