I doubt, but still asking. Is there any way to achieve it?

Hi there,

I seem to be in a bit of a problem. I have a Sharepoint/Project Server 2013 SP1, with SQL Server 2014 and Reporting Services installed on the same host. An all in one if you like. I have installed PowerView, and after i do what i have to do in excel, and come back to PowerView to create a Powervie report, i get this: 

The feature: "Power View" is not supported in this edition of Reporting Services.

Am i missing something?

Farm:

1 - Sharepoint 2013 Enterprise with Project Server 2013

2 - Sharepoint 2013 Enterprise with Search Service configured for searching machine 1.

3 - SQL Server

Issue:

How many Project Server 2013 licenses do I need in this configuration? Does SP server with Search Service need additional Project Server 2013 license?

I want to create a master schedule to consolidate Information from one custom Enterprise field over various Projects in my Organisation (I guess it is the only way as in the Project Center I cannot Group by a Task field)

What is the Maximum amount of lines a Master Project can have in Project Center with still providing approriate Performance?

I created a template using some coloring.

When opening the new template the Colors are visible for the built-In Gantt Chart View but not for the Custom view (in my case "01 Schedule Planning")

Isn't it possible to safe Colors in a Project template in a custom view?

I have been asked to track the EV of our material in the schedule.  I have never used the schedule for material tracking before.  Can someone guide me on how to add this to an existing task or how to set up a new task to track this.  I need this cost reflected in my Earned Value numbers.

Hi. I looking for some help scripts, links etc to migrate users from abc\userid to xyz\userid in Project server 2013. and Its just the user id migration not the server/box migration. The box or infrastructure will remain in the same abc domain.

Does anyone know if the custom field name "Application" is somehow "reserved" - or if there are known issues with it?

I have recently migrated from v2003 to v2013 and have always had a task-level custom field named "Application".  Following our upgrade, the field cannot be inserted into any views within Microsoft Project Professional.  It functions normally within views that it was already assigned pre-migration as well as from within PWA views. 

Right click --> Insert Column --> Application (enterprise): will not add the column to the view!

I also created a new custom field named Application in a fresh "vanilla" 2013 environment and have the same issues.

Anyone else with the same experience?  I am patched up through the June 2015 CU.

I've just upgraded both Sharepoint and Project Server from 2003 to 2013 SP1. Sharepoint is up and running just fine, but i cant wrap my head around reporting in 2013 Project Server. In the old 2003, we had a Data Analysis and it worked fine, it generated reports easy directly from the web interface. But in 2013, thats gone, and it seems we have to use excel. That is fine, but i just can't seem to make it work. I have looked up the official documentation, forums and google, but nothing even comes close to what i need. I tried OData Feed, but when i select timesheets, it gives me nothing useful, it gives me stuff like service accounts and admins, nothing from resource center. I tried with SQL Server Feed, but i don't know what to chose out of the 5000 options there (there is no obvious timesheets).

So basically, i need to generate a report once a month with all resources in resource center. In that report i need to see each persons timesheet (how many hours on what projects they worked), and maybe a percentege or graph made out of it. Nothing special.

How do i do that?

While trying creating Deliverable using MS Project, following error appears and user is failed to create any deliverable:

The deliverable has no workspace registered. The workspace may have been removed from the Project workspace settings or deleted.

Obviously the project site exist, and I am also able to create deliverable within deliverable list directly.

The issue is appearing for every new and existing project sites, except the existing sites where deliverables already listed.

Also note that issue occurs even with default site template.  

Below is the snippet from log files:

The only evident clue in logs is Access Deniedmessage,which leads to permission related issue.

However I have thoroughly checked permissions and couldn’t find any required permission missing.

 TRNSW is on dedicated server, and patched up to March 2015 CU.

This doesn’t really look like a CU related issue, as another customer is farm is exactly at same patch level, and there are no issues.

Any input would be appreciated.

Hello,

I got a requirement to list out a number of projects in SSRS report with 'Last Published Date' and 'Who Published Last' from PS database.
I am able to find out the 'Last Published Date' from Published DB but I am not able to find who published last.

I know project from queue history I can check the project publishing time and owner of that queue job but fetching it from DB is looking complex for me now.

If some one has worked on this requirement and can share some input on this,would be very helpful.
