    I am trying to install Reporting services in SharePoint integrated mode but I am not able to do this and get error message during install SPRSService using sharepoint powershell commands.

    I am working on  Two tier Archie. DB server and Application server and I have already install sql server with Service Pack 2 suggested by many post on google and msdn sites

    I am a PWA admin and had received a query from a resource that he was unable to access his timesheet. I have tried to act as his delegate and got an unexpected error, which is not allowing me to access PWA now. While accessing MS project, I got the message that delegate session is still on. How can I stop the delegate session and can login back using my credentials.

    Hello All,

    I have a Project which exist in PWA and there are task and assignments in it. When  I try to retrieve data from SQL and write select query on MSP_EpmAssignmentByDay_UserView, data is perfectly coming from this view then to get the resource ID I write a select query on MSP_EpmAssignment_UserView.

    I am surprised to see there is no data exist for that project in MSP_EpmAssignment_UserView.

    Can anyone please explain me the reason.

    We've been asked to turnoff the active directory sync function in our project server 2010 environment, I've checked our AD Sync setting s and the job log for the two AD Sync jobs, both of which seem to confirm that we don't have it turned on. Are there any other AD Synch functions that could/would run against the server with out logging it?

    Does anyone know if the custom field name "Application" is somehow "reserved" - or if there are known issues with it?

    I have recently migrated from v2003 to v2013 and have always had a task-level custom field named "Application".  Following our upgrade, the field cannot be inserted into any views within Microsoft Project Professional.  It functions normally within views that it was already assigned pre-migration as well as from within PWA views. 

    Right click --> Insert Column --> Application (enterprise): will not add the column to the view!

    I also created a new custom field named Application in a fresh "vanilla" 2013 environment and have the same issues.

    Anyone else with the same experience?  I am patched up through the June 2015 CU.

    I am new to Project Online Web App. I want to create an Enterprise project under but there is no option to give the Site Url. It always create site at the root of the site collection. I have also tried to create it from Connected SharePoint Sites but it does not allow me to select and creates only new site at root. I can also create an SharePoint app if it is not possible in Out of the Box Solution, then some code sharing will be really helpful.

    I have an enterprise task custom cost field, configured to rollup as sum.  When I inactivate the task the entered cost in this field continues to contribute to the rollup, even though the task is inactive.  I want this custom cost field to act just like the normal cost field, and suppress the contribution to the rollup when the task becomes inactive.  Is this a bug?  Is there a setting I have missed?

    I came with an serious issue, someone has deleted a Enterprise Custom Field from my project.

    Is there any way I can find out who has deleted this? Also is there any way to find out the Logged in users and IP's?

    Also please let me know how to take back up these fields.

    Can Project Pro Office 365 connect to on premises Project Server 2013?  We looking to upgrade from Project Server 2010 to Project Server 2013.  We would like to explore the option of using Project Pro Office 365 to connect to Project Server 2013 eliminating the limitations of Project Online while taking advantage of the benefits of Project Pro Office 365 with the benefits of Project Server 2013 on premises.

    I am experiencing an issue with one of our projects where the timeline on the Project Site is showing tasks that were not selected in MSP or PWA. I have published the project on MSP & PWA and monitored the queue to check that nothing has failed during the publishing process, however, the timeline on the Project Site is still not showing just the tasks selected in MSP.

    Can someone perhaps advise on why this is happening and how to resolve this issue?

    i want to export a sharepoint list exists in a sharepoint subsite (a project site actually), and then import it in another subsite (project site) within the same sitecollection (PWA)

    basically the export was very easy to manage as i have used granular back in the central administration and then my problem started to appear

    the command i have tried to use

    Import-SPWeb -Identity  http://webapp/PWA/projectsite/Lists/Risks -Path \\ipaddress\Farm_Backup\listexport\risks.cmp  -Force -NoFileCompression -Verbose -UpdateVersions Overwrite

    Error :

    Import-SPWeb : Cannot find an SPWeb object with Id or Url : http://webapp/PWA/projectsite/Lists/Risks.

    i dont know why im receiving this, please advice about the best way to import spweb into a subsite

    We are looking for views re process below :-

    There are some cases each month where timesheets are autoapproved but the time does not arrive in the project for some reason.

    As a result an admin is acting as delegate for resources in carry out actions such as recalling and resubmitting timesheets. (timesheet adjustment facility is not appropriate as does not adjust Project time - timesheets auto approved but SEM mode used - EPM updates manually approved).

    The admin acts as delegate for the resource (to recall and resubmit) then next acts as delegate for the approver (to approve the Project time) all the time with the target project open in Project Professional using her own admin profile.

    She then closes project, checksin and reopens to check whether time is reflected correctly.

    We are experiencing some issues such as lost time/publishing issues and are looking for views to confirm whether the above process is flawed before we investigate caches and other possible causes.

  • I have a Project Server environment setup on-prem and I think we would move to Project Online. I wanted to know how this can be done. I would like to use my Project Server 2013 license at Project Online along with Project Lite license which I can purchase from MS.

    i was trying and spent some time on save Project site risks as a list template and then reuse it in another project site as a way of importing and exporting the list among sites instead of copying the list content manually which is time consuming. 

    basically i have tried to save risks list as a template and i have found it there in lists templates but unfortunately when going to site content > add an APP , the list template is not there.

    while the above steps worked when using normal SharePoint list, where i can find my normal SharePoint list template

    any ideas ?

    Hi. I looking for some help scripts, links etc to migrate users from abc\userid to xyz\userid in Project server 2013. and Its just the user id migration not the server/box migration. The box or infrastructure will remain in the same abc domain.

    Dear Experts

    I am seeing some strange behavior in the resource sheet.  One of the user who have PM rights can able to see the Resource work in the Resource usage view but not in the Resource Sheet (if we insert a column called "work" depicts as 0 instead of values).

    I have checked with other user who have same permissions (as like problematic user) able to see resource work in both views (Resource usage and resource sheet).  

    Is there any settings / permissions did i missed out for the user which is in question ? Help me to resolve the issue

    Hi All,

    I am using PS 2010 SEM. Recently I faced an issue where the Project Center was showing "An unknown error has occurred". Even if we refresh it, it was throwing the same error.

    I checked in the databases and found that there was a project which was duplicated with the same UID.


    I don't understand how can that happen. I would like to know the reason behind and also how can this issue be resolved.

    I have created a custom project level cost field that is equal to a task level cost field (Summary task 0). In Project Pro it shows up correct in that the field equals the rollup value of the task cost field. When I check the Project Information the field shows the correct amount.

    The problem is that the project level custom cost field that is correct in Project Pro does not display in PWA (it is blank).

    Anyone have an idea what the issue is?
