Hi,
I have a question that I would appreciate some assistance with please.
I am using MS Project Professional 2010 SP1 and corresponding PWA.
I am managing Timesheets on behalf of a team of developers. It is in single-entry mode.
What I have found is that, if the system allows users to add time to tasks beyond the task end date. This then plays havoc with the project plan as some users are not careful to ensure that they check the task start and end dates when they enter timesheets.
To compound the problem, sometimes the task start and end dates on the users' timesheets move and so no longer correspond to the task start and end dates in the Project plan.
Could anyone please explain for me whether there is any way of stopping users from entering time beyond the end date of the task, or restricting this so that I as the administrator/project planner needs to change the end date (to make it later) before they
can enter time on the task beyond the stipulated end date?
Is there any reason why sometimes the task start and end dates on the timesheets no longer correspond to the start and end dates of the task in the Project plan?
Many thanks in advance
David
