Dear all,
I'm using Internet Explorer 9.0.7 kb 2699988.
I receive this message when browse to Project Center, Approval Center, Server Setting...
"This Web Part requires at least Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0. For more information, contact your Project Server Administrator."
I tried to remove and install Internet Explorer 9 again, and still this error.
What should I do now?

Unable to access .ASMX url in project server 2016
Hi
I am getting below error while try to access .ASMX url
https://devlopment-ps.com/pwa/_vti_bin/psi/CustomFields.asmx
Also i noticed one more thing, when i try to access above url then it automatically redirects to
https://servername/PWA/_layouts/15/error.aspx
however i checked other asmx url which is working as expected
https://devlopment-ps.com/pwa/_vti_bin/psi/LoginWindows.asmx

Task Type available in Reporting Database
I'm looking to detect whether a task is Fixed Duration or Fixed Unit or Fixed Work.
I seem not to find the field in the reporting database.
Am I missing something or is the information not available?

Is Project Server a separate server application? or is it a component of SharePoint Server?
Over a decade ago when we first started using SharePoint Server and Project Server, they were both separate applications, with separate installations and separate licenses. As the years have passed, it appears that they are more tightly integrated
with each other, to the point where i dont believe there is a separate Project Server installer. Is that correct? If i purchased a SharePoint Server 2019 Standard Edition license, would i automatically get Project Server for free? If
i dont want SharePoint but i do want Project Server 2019, can i purchase that license by itself and simply spin up a Project Server? Or do i basically end up with SharePoint? If they are separate licenses, are there separate installers for each?
My company doesnt think we get much value out of Project Server, but i'm afraid we are using pieces of it within SharePoint without really knowing it and we cant simply drop it. If we did drop licensing for Project Server, how would we get rid of it in our
infrastructure? (PS: I realize i'm asking a ton of questions. Thank you to whoever can help with this in advance).

PWA Cannot Find Project Professional Installation
Hello,
When trying to open a project from PWA (2019) in Project Professional on My Virtual Desktop (MVD), it pops up a message that says "No Installation of Project Found". Project Pro is installed on MVD (and my PC). We are able to connect to PWA from Project Professional and access all of the projects. I understand this is not the best method of accessing PWA, but we have some constraints that do not allow us to directly access PWA from our PCs'. I did notice that the location of Project Pro on my PC is different from where it is stored on the MVD. Could this be the reason why Project Server is unable to find the installation? Any insight into what could be causing this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Group field in PWA Resource Center
We are setting up our enterprise resources in the PWA resource center manually (don't have AD set up yet). We are able to do this fine for any person who is not a licensed user of PWA. However, for licensed users, this field is greyed out and
not editable. We can open that resource in a project and add the group but then it is dropped again. I suspect it is being overwritten with some other resource definition but I don't know where to look for that. Does anyone know how to solve
for this?

Formula Custom Field with RollUp=None recieves default for Summary Tasks
Hello,
We are working with Project Server 2019. We created an Enterprise Custom Field with a complicated formula to indicate the user if a task is updated correctly. The can have 5 string outcomes, one of them is "Should Have Finished". There are graphical indicators built on the strings.
The formula is defined with Roll-Up for Summary Tasks = None
Below is the difference between what I expect and what I get:
Expected Actual
- Field value for non-summary task By formula By formula
- Field is editable for non-summary task No No
- Field value for summary task Blank Should Have Finished
- Field is editable for summary task Yes Yes (I can delete characters from the string)
It might be that the specific value for summary tasks is selected because it's the 1st to be defined in the graphical indicators section
Can you suggest how to get the expected functionality?

Project Online and Power BI
Hi All,
We have around 30 users who are using Project Online - Project Plan 3 .
We need to create some Power PI project status reports which will be connected to Project Online Data,the project status reports will be common for all users.
Can we have one Power BI Pro account create and publish the reports and all 30 users can access the reports.
OR each user require separate Power BI account to access the common project status reports.

How to share a Master Plan with SharePoint group
Hello,
I have a MS Project file that consists of a dozen or so local tasks and 40 or so sub project files embedded into it. Each of the sub project files consists of over 100 tasks in each.
How can I share the project for read only access with a large group of users who do not have Microsoft Project? I was hoping on sync'ing the project file to a SharePoint list but the sub projects do not come over if I do. I have Microsoft Project Server available but I am afraid each user who needs read only access will also require a license for MS Project.

It still appears as checked out to the user and when I click the link in Project center is says:
The Check-in operation has been queued, but is taking longer than expected to process. To check the status of the Check-in queue job, either visit
the My Queue Jobs page, or refresh the page.
Click OK to close the project and return to Project Center.
As a support admin, is there anything I can do to fix the issue or will it need to be resolved by the owner of the project? Please lists steps to correct the error. Any feedback approcaited!

Microsoft Azure Speech to Text remote connection error
I am trying to convert an audio file into text using Azure's speech to text SDK and getting an error stating no remote hostconnections. I am sure that I have the right key (blanked below) and region. Code and error:

Table for Templates
Hi All,
We are using PS 2019. I had created certain Project templates and the same are being used by PMs for Project creation through EPTs.
I want to know the list of tasks present in the Project Template. Can anybody guide me, which table has the list of tasks in the template. I was able to get the list of projects but not able to get the list of tasks for those template.
Also let me know where can i find the database schema for PS 2019.

Update Actuals for future timesheets
Hi All,
We are using PS 2019 SEM. We just came to know that even if we disable the option for entering future timesheets, once can still update the actual work. The resource can use the "Import" option in the timesheet and Replace Actual with Planned.
Has any one faced this issue or is it a bug?

Update cost rate table for enterprise resources - but to apply to new projects only
My company has updated the hourly rate for our resources from the beginning of the year. However, they should only apply to new projects, as existing projects need to be billed at the rate which was agreed with the customer before the rate increase. Therefore, they have implemented the new rates in cost rate table D - and it falls to the PM to remember to change the rate table to D for each resource task in the plan. Obviously, it gets forgotten or missed quite often.
Is there a way to update the Project Server enterprise cost table so that the default rate for all enterprise resources is the new '2020' rate BUT for this to only apply to newly created projects? I.e. projects that have already been created to not have their resource costs increased? We are using Project Server 2013 on-prem. Thanks.

ssh connection error
my surface pro6 can successfully connect to my server 1, but can NOT connect to another server2, it says connection timed out
However, my other computers can connect to that server 2. I tried reinstalled open-ssh, but it doesn't fix this problem.
I guess there is something wrong with my Surface pro6 but I don't know how to fix it. I really need your help now

Adding Unique Project ID functionality to EPT
I would like to add unique project ID to my default Enterprise Project EPT. From what I have read, this functionality should be accessible in the Site Settings - Workflow and Project Detail Pages - Enterprise Project EPT. When I edit the Enterprise Project EPT, I am not given options to create a Prefix, starting number, postfix, and digit padding for the unique project ID. Below is a screenshot.
Below is a screenshot. Is there a setting to enable this functionality?

Updating Risks / Issues List Template and then Rolling Out To Existing Sub Sites
Hi all, I have updated the main templates for risks/issues in my site however because we made project sub sites live before now but not used risks it appears that they are using the old template.<o:p></o:p>
Does anyone have a way to update existing sites with the same changes made to the new site template lists for risks/issues or is it as I seem to have read a manual action on each sub site ?<o:p></o:p>
