Submitted a project for cancellation and once the workflow was submitted and the save job queued, instead of opening back up to the Project Workflow page, it gave me the below error message.
A workflow step got failed and caused the issue. We need to revert that step i.e. move the project just one step back in workflow.

When I tried to update the schedule of the project , the job failed with the error message " AssignmentAlreadyExists". I further looked into the ULS logs but it wasn't that helpful.
This is the message I found in ULS logs "type = UpdateScheduledProject failed at Message 5 and is blocking the correlation Errors: AssignmentAlreadyExists,Leaving Monitored Scope (FillTypedDataSet -- MSP_WEB_SP_QRY_ReadTimeSheetAssignmentsAndCustomFieldData). Execution Time=398.730006187937"
Pplease help me to understand the root cause of this problem.
I have verified all the assignments in the plan and I did not find any duplicates.

Hi all, according to the below TechNet article http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/office365-project-online-help/project-online-software-boundaries-and-limits-HA104063425.aspx If you use the Odata feed and Project Online you are limited to a max of 45 custom enterprise fields. I heard at the WPC last week that this is no longer strictly true but when I searched online I couldn't find any updates to the above article.
Does anyone know what the current situation is? Ie are we still limited to the 45 fields?

Can anyone can explain me, why there is a difference when I am checking statuse of my timesheets from Manage Timesheets PWA page (/PWA/Timesheet/MyTSSummary.aspx) and when I tried to do the same directly from Database.
Below SQL query I use to generate Timesheet statuses report:

For instance, statuses marked as 'Submitted' in PWA has status 'In progress' in DB results.

I would like to customize a field on the Timesheet view with total remaining hours on task. Sounds easy, but:
"Single Entry Mode" is off (for Project reason ), and Resouces only use Timesheet to enter working hours.
Is there a way to do it?

We are using Project 2010 and Project Server 2010. A project plan was corrupted and unfortunately the automated daily backups were not configured when server was originally loaded. Is there any way to get a copy of a project plan from a specific date? The OLAP is run nightly - can we run a querry on a past OLAP to recover some of the data?
I read that "Project Server 2010 backs up all objects to the Archive database, regardless of whether you schedule automatic daily backups or manually back up the objects" How can I access this location?

We have implemented Project Server 2010. We have project managers (20 persons) that use Microsoft project 2010 and Project server 2010, and team members ( 100 persons) that only use Project server 2010.
We have a problem of different information between the plans in project and the tasks updated in project server. A team member update a task in the timesheet clicks "send Status" or "Send timesheet" , the project manager approved the tasks in the Approval Center. The line Manager approved the timesheet. But when you open the project plan in the Microsoft project plan this plan doesn't have the last infomation and updates coming from the team members.
We go in the Approval Center and to the "History" , "Approval updates", and some approval are published, other approval are not published. And it's a huge problem to us, because we are working in this tool, 2 months, more than 100 persons, and I have a huge list of no changes update in my projects.
I have one update in "error", Action "Rejected" says "The update was not applied because it contains invalid data".
And in the other hand, I suppose due to this unlink between project plans and timesheets, the team members suffer continues changes in their timesheets, and in the task updates they have sent, or they don't have the proper assignation to taks, in their timesheets. I have a lot screenshots, but I don't Know how to put here.
Any Ideas? Any Help? We are living a nightmare with this... is there something wrong in the parametrization?

I am having a problem where our users are only able to produce a summary report. Upon printing a report we are usually presented with a menu with many options prior to printing.
The farm is fully up to date and no changes have been made administratively. I have searched around but am unable to find anyone with the same issue.

I am truing to download the 60 day trial version of Project Professional 2013, however after typing in my details on the Technet page (https://profile.microsoft.com/RegSysProfileCenter/wizard.aspx?wizid=6877ab32-ec63-44a5-b9a5-505eb1fef364&lcid=2057), the "Continue" button does not work, thus not allowing me to continue on to install the product.
Are there any workarounds for this?

Earned Value in Project Client is quite fine, the choice of calculate against actual or status date is a nice feature. But using Project Web App I lack the option of setting the status date - is EVA in Project Web App 2013 really restricted to the actual
date? Or is the status date set automatically by approved task updates?

Brand new server, 2008 r2. I want it to eventually be my forest root. Should I go ahead and join it to the domain as just a member server and then do all the ? Should I run adprep before I join the domain? I'm only asking about member server at this point...before dcpromo.
Most of the posts I have seen relating to installing Additional Domain Controller (ADC) onto a domain, state that the machine they are starting with is NOT a member of the domain. In my case, the machine I want to make an ADC is already a member of the domain.

On PerformancePoint, I have created a dashboard which has 2 scorecards from 2 different data sources. They are all connected to one common Member Selection filter, in this case Account Owners.
The issue is that, when you select ALL I get the below error, however when you select an Account Owner it works fine.
The Unattended Service Account "xxxxxx" does not have permissions to see this data. Additional details have been logged for your administrator.
Can anyone advise on why this would be the case?

I am using Project Server 2010. I ran in to a funny problem and i cant understand why this happening. I have about 100+ projects in project Server and i have made quite a lot reports using the Project Server Reporting Database. Yesterday one of my project was not listed in any of the reports i have created. This is the first time it has happened to any of the created projects. I have checked it in the Project Server Published database and all the tasks are coming in Tasks table and Assignments table but in Reporting Database none of the assignments or tasks are appearing. Can any one help me out with this one please.
