Single task activity workflow error - Using VS 2013

workflow get cancelled when looping single task activity .

What Project Server 2010 and 2013 make possible in terms of timesheeting, "freezing" timesheets and expenses.
We have recently gone live on a Timesheeting system based on Project Server 2007.
I now want to know how the system could be improved using 2010 or 2013.
But first you would need to know our requirements and what we did in 2007 ...
We needed the GUI of My Timesheets and the Admin tasks but approvals based on what project/task it was. Ie PM approval not line management approval.
We managed it by entering timesheets in My Timesheets, importing to My Tasks and then regularly picking up published Task Updates in the Table EPMAssignmentByDay and capturing them in an added table in the Reporting database. We had a few key requirements which required some customisation:
- Need to capture the timestamp of when approved. to nearest hour. plus approver ID (ie status manager) and the cost centre at that time of the resource (they can move sometimes)
- Need to be able to freeze approved records - so that after that point they can't be changed. And financial reports can run and know the data won't change.
2 - is a headache for us. There is no mechanism to stop a user from trying to update frozen records. We currently have to just ignore the updates
We also wanted expenses - but that wasn't possible in 2007.
The new "Single Entry" mode looks like it will make life easier for the users.
But:
- Is there any concept of timestamping the approvals?
- Is there any concept of freezing the approved data?
- The new Timesheet user-defined fields. Could these be used to add an expense amount and comment?
I now know my way around the 2007 Reporting Database (at least parts of it) - but haven't found documentation to tell me what changed at the level need to answer the questions above.

ProjectServer 2013 - Project CheckIn hang in queue
Hello
I have a problem with queue job of the Project Server 2013. There is a job in a state processing, but it cannot be canceled, deleted, or anything else. I dont know, hot this job get there (or if some hardware issue was happened), but also if I try to force check this project, another process will appear in the queue, but waiting to be processed, becouse of the first job.
The project cannot be open through pwa and also through MSP. It says that the project is opened in another session, but even if the owner of the project try this, the error message is the same. I also tryed to delete local cache on the MSP app, but it doesnt help..
I also tryed reset of queue service, sharepoint timer service, iisreset and reset of farm...nothing help...
Can anybody know, how to force cancel, or delete this one project?

Deactivate users with AD group sync
Hello!
We have setup 2 AD group to sync resource with the Enterprise Resource Pool and the PS security groups. Group1 is our top-level group which is used for Enterprise Resource Pool sync. Group2 is member of Group1 and used to sync e.g. the TeamMember security group is Project Server.
If we remove a User1 from Group2, sync the Resource Pool and Security Group afterwards, we expect that User1 will be set to inactive in ProjectServer.
From Technet:
The corresponding Project Server User Account is not deactivated based on this synchronization. If the same Active Directory user is configured to synchronize with a Project Server security group, the Project Server user account will be inactivated when that synchronization occurs.
The user is removed from the security group but not deactivated.
What is going wrong here?

2) We have done exception handling for all the methods and tracking it at data base level but no exception found

Impact of changing a Project Name on PWA 2013
Hi Ladies and Gents
I know that if I change the project name of a current project on the Name field on the PDP it will update the Project Plan name. I also know that I need to change the project site name and I know what the workaround is to ensure that the project plan still associates with the project site.
What I want to ask, is there any other impact to historic data if I make a change to the above

Critical Task Issue
I'm having trouble with one of my tasks in MS Project 2007
I don't want it to be critical, but it's highlighted in the timeline in the Tracking Gantt View with a red bar (as critical), the rest of the tasks are normal.
I have checked slack time which is 0
This task that is having this issue is from 5/1/14 to 6/30/14 (43 days)
Other details:
Start date of my project: 2/13/14
End date: 6/30/14

Using Max Units in Project Pro 2010 in a Project Server environment
Hello,
We are using Projec Server 2010 and Project Pro 2010. we have our Max Units set at the enterprise level for our resources but would like to be able to set the Max Units for individual resources for an individual plan to represent the agreed upon resource allocation for the project. This does not seem to be possible as the changes are not saved back to Project Server indicating that there is just one Max Units setting and that it is at the enterprise level. Is this the case or is there a way to accomplish what is needed?
I found a post from 2010 stating that it is not possible but I wanted to confirm that it is still the case.

View Single Project Demand
Is it possible to view only the individual project demand in the resource usage view within project pro 2010 with Project Server 2010? Currently the demand for the individual project is shown as well as "Other Projects" across the Enterprise. This information is important but I want to know that my individual plan is leveled before looking at the resource from an enterprise perspective.

Project server 2010 - Approval center error for 2 approvers
I have not found any solution in your threads :
2 approvers have the message in Approval center : An unhandled exception occurred in Microsoft.Office.Project.Server.BusinessLayer.Statusing.StatusingReadStatusApprovalsForProjectForGridJson.
If I try in delegate mode for them I have the same error
But if I change the status manager (me instead of them) I can approve all their pending approvals
The message is still the same for them even if they have nothing to approve
I have no orphan project
Waht can I do ??
I am afraid that the others users could have the same message

Move project template between different environment (ie different domain)
Hi,
Here is the complete picture
I customised a project by adding list , matrix, pages, custom columns, custom project pages etc and then saved it as a template(include content), then i moved the saved template wsp file to a project server in different domain
So now when i tried to to create a new project from the template, no customization is there , it is coming up as default project.
I am using Project server 2013. Please suggest what i am missing here or is there any other way to move project around

Real Finish Date and Task Completion Percentage
Hi, Working With Project Server 2013,
User enter Task Progress setting the fields:
Percent Complete: 100%
But also changes the Finish Date to a later day.
And Hit "Send"
This is the information the PL gets, accepts and publishes.
If the user sees the task again on Tasks he sees a recalculated % percentage and not the 100% that he entered in the first place.
If the user doesn't change the finish date the 100% percent is not recalculated.
This behaviour is not seen on PS2010.
Is this by design on PS2013? is it configurable?

Enterprise Resource Pool Synchronizatoin for MS Project Server 2010
It is possible to create one AD group , let's call it Enterprise Resource Pool ( ERP), with nested AD groups such that when we sync this one ERP AD group in MS Project Server 2010 all of the resources are added to the Enterprise Resource Pool as well as , at the smet time, the nested AD groups are also synced to the appropriate security groups?

Time and Date
Hi,
I am using Project Serve 2013. I would like to display Time and Date for Start and End dates on each task. Swithc on/off by project.
I know there is a "Time with Date" check box under "options on the ribbon. However this greyed out so can't tick it.
Any ideas how I activate it?

I have a few somewhat related questions:
1) What do the AppData >Local folders {*.*} actually contain? Do they include information from my entire document set?
2) If I have included my AppData files to iBackup company's backup server, can an administrator of that system see or reconstruct any or all of my files whether they be document, jpg, excel, etc. type files on my hard disk from the files there?

PS 2007: User is able to enter timesheets just fine, but the "Import Timesheet" in My Tasks is disabled
I have a user who can enter timesheets just fine. However, when they go to the My Tasks page to import the timesheet, that option is greyed out. They have correct permissions setup. Any ideas what this could be? They are running Windows 7, but I'm not sure yet if they are running the 64-bit version of IE or the 32-bit version of IE.
