There is no site configured for this project error after creating new project in MS Project 2010 beta

I have Project Server 2010 beta running in a VM on Windows Server 2008.  When I create a new project from the web interface, assign resources, save and publish I can browse to the new website successfully.  When I create a new project from MS Project 2010 using the same procedure, save and publish I will find the new project on the web interface (PWA) but when I try to browse to the new project's web site I get "There is no site configured for this project".  Further, in my application log on the server I get an error message: Event 7704, Project Server

I think I'm using the same steps using Project as I am on the PWA website.  I haven't been able to find any guidance on the web yet and I'm not even sure I'm on the right forum.  Have I missed a step on the server side or is there something I'm missing withing Project?  I can't find any reference to this error in the trace logs.  Any ideas out there?
