We are having some problems with a few projects on some of our environments (Project Server 2010) hanging at 98-99% for over an hour sometimes. These are projects that have been on the server, but something a user does seems to cause some sort of corruption after which this hanging in the Project Server Queue starts occurring. Even if we move the project file to a different environment, the same behavior occurs.
Saving the MPP seems to cause no issues with slowdown or lag. The issues only seem to happen on a few schedules around the 98 to 99% range.
I know there are a few applications out there that are supposed to look for potential issues in Project Files, but I am not very familiar with any of them. Does anyone out there have suggestions on what could be causing these issues with files hanging on saves like this, or software packages that could do the job?
