As I create a new project Workflow got stuck with the following error:

"HTTP Unauthorized to Https URL/ProjectServer/WorkflowActivities/EnterProjectStage

And then workflow remain at this stage forever.  Any suggestions??

Hi Experts

I was just wondering if Microsoft has removed this option or I am the only one missing it in my Central Admin.

'Alerts and Reminders' option which was present in Central Admin --> Service Application Page --> Project Application Service --> Manage Project Web App --> Project Web App settings --> Under Operational Policies, is missing in my Central Admin and I am not able to trigger the workflow emails to the specified users.

Hi Experts!!

One of my Project Server admin has accidently deleted the original "Project Server Workflow Tasks" list. Now all the approvals are lost. How can we recreate it?

Also, we checked into the Recycle Bin and its not available there, also we tried to create a custom list with content type as "Task" and "Workflow Task", but the approvals are not appearing in this list.

Any help is appreciated.

Is there a way to Checkin Resource Plan without going to settings and then doing Force Checkin?

When I click on Close button in Resource Plan, it do not checkin the Resource Plan.

Our company has both versions of Mircosoft Project, 2010 and 2007. In the past there were a few of us using the older version to track our projects. We recently added on a Supervisor to the tracking but they have 2010. Now when she goes to enter in a new project we lose information when she tries to Indent the task. We have duplicate tasks, without names, missing projects and so on. Unfortunately we cannot all have the "newer" version. Is there a way to avoid these problems?

Hi - I'm looking for some help, if anybody has seen this before:

1. I create a project schedule template in Project Pro 2013. 
2. In that template, I do some text formatting:  color changes, etc that are meaningful to my users, expose Project Summary Task on the Gantt Chart
3. I save this customized Gantt Chart view with a new view name
4. I check out Enterprise Global and add this new view and it's associated table to Enterprise Global, save it and check it back in
5. I reference the template in my EPT, using the most simple Project Level workflow
6. When a new project is generated via the workflow, the formatting is not there on the new view
7. If I open the template, it is there and I can create a new project schedule that way, but the user process is revolves around using the project initiation workflow to fill in PDPs and generate the project from the template

Hi,

I have created a view in Project center for Earned value method by creating custom filed with formulas, i can able to see all the values. But we are not able to see the consolidate value of CPI & SPI on a master project.

We can see all the remaining values but these 2 values are not displaying, below is the screen shot. Please let me know is it a default behavior.

I have downloaded and installed Project 2016 (O365) using the ODT Toolkit 2016. All Installs as expected, Project launches fine with a prompt to sign in for subscription based licensing but when the end client launches 'Project Server 2016 Accounts' under the Microsoft Office 2016 Tools folder it immediately crashes.

It only launches if project 2016 is running before hand.

Has anyone else come across this. Is the an update that is needed?

The following issue occurs in Project server 2013.

I have a project plan in PWA. When I edit this project from professional and modify some data in it and save. After the click the button save, I see the status indicates Save project successfully. Then I click publish button, after processing, I see publish job complete successfully too. So I check in this project. Now I can see the data in PWA well, it is accurate as I modified. Here is my problem, when I try to query the tasks of this project from theProject Server Reporting DB, I get nothing. I don't know why.

We are on Project Server 2013 (Build 15.0.4805.1000) and after enabling the "Strategy" menu via the "Quick Launch" settings page, I go to the "Driver Library" page and click "New". However, we are immediately getting an error message and after checking the ULS logs, it says the following:

System.ArgumentException: Feature '8520ceca-90bd-450c-803e-79c306e80299' for
list template '10000' is not installed in this farm. The operation could not be
completed. at Microsoft.SharePoint.SPFeatureManager.

The problem is that the GUID listed in the error message is no where to be found on our farm... anywhere.  I have used the PowerShell command "Get-SPFeature" and the GUID does not exist.

Does anybody have any information on how to resolve this issue or where this GUID is found?

I have migrated Project server from 2010 to 2016 which has three servers architecture (Web Font end, application and database server). Now I am verifying all OLAP cube and other excel reports in browser but these all reports are throwing below error.

As per ULS log, I configured “Distributed cache” service multiple times in application server but it is always showing in disabled mode. Can anyone help me to resolve this issue?

Hi,

A user has an issue that when he create his any new timesheet (for weeks ahead), he find random actual time (different everyday)  already present in one of his tasks.

I checked the task:

1. It is schedules for period of 220 days

2. It also has 2 other resources assigned.

3. It 20% complete.

I have dozen of projects on our project web app, from those projects I want to exclude one project from portfolio so data from it won't be included in reports.

If anybody can explain if this is plausible and how to manage it?

Additional info:

While I was wandering around PWA settings I came up to Portfolio analyses. I saw there I can create new Portfolio analyses and in it I could exclude whichever project I want. But I am not sure if this is correct way nor I know how to make it to be default portfolio analyses.
