    I like to use versioning on lists so that we can add date stamped comments to the item.

    If I turn versioning on for discussion or resolution, it works but the new comments dont make it into the database.

    Is thera dditional configuration for this?

    Hi, 

    I need create master project by some subprojects which linked already to risks. I' m trying enter these risks into master project and show up them in master project too. But I can't. I tried even to linked these risks directly to subproject within master project, but I don't have the subprojects' tasks in Master project site. I have just summary task of each subproject. When I linked even these summary to risk (as an task instead of project), I can't see risk indicator in project center for master project.

    Could please help me to link the risks (already define in subproject) to master project.

    Actually I need to know if there is the way to have the risk linked to project when we create master project with it?

    Just migrated a lot of users from one domain to another. As a result a few of the users have encountered the following:

    A user who is in the Project managers group can access Project Server 2013 via PWA not using Project Pro 2013.

    Before the migration they had no problem accessing server using Project Pro 2013.

    Any thoughts?

    I am having some trouble with Group policy for a project. My task is to test Skype for Business' policies. In addition, I wanted to use the Skype for Business administrative template for group policy in Windows Server 2003. My company is still utilizing Windows Server 2003 as our domain controller. However, as I install the administrative template, I get an error saying that only files with the .adm extension can be used. I have tried many things to solve this issue. It doesn't seem like anyone has an answer but the .adm files are no longer supported. I tried configuring the code in the administrative files and I had no luck. 

    Can anyone help me out or give me some tips? Thanks,

    in the MS Project Server Project Center view you can chose out of different gantt formats.

    For example it is possible to show the standard baseline (without a number) of a Project. So you can createvariance analysis!

    Is it also possible to show baseline 1 - 10?

    In our company we want to show baseline 10 in the Project Center.

    In Project Server 2013, is there a way to grant edit access to a specific, custom field?  We have a set of finance users that will update a single (free-text) field but we do not want them to be able to edit any other data for a resource.

    What is the maximum amount of 'soft links' that a schedule(framework) can handle in EPM? In terms of performance, maintainability, etc. 

    A customer has large schedule frameworks (each program: 20-30 schedules connected to each other) with hundreds of soft links from one schedule to multiple others or from multiple schedules to one to manage a significant amount of deliverables (plan date vs need date).

    Hey Guys, we have gone head first into Visual Studio Team Services (Online) and have thus far been able to do everything we need to do.  I see that you can connect Power BI to VSTS, but have yet to be able to find a way to connect the data in VSTS to Project Online or Project Pro which our portfolio manager would very much like to be able to do. We aren't committed to any version of Project yet, so we're pretty flexible.

    Can anyone here help me get started?  It seems like there must be a way to do this.

    Hello All -

    I have another simple Project Server 2013 question, which is stumping me.

    Here is what I would like to do, We want to use the Project Server to do time reporting for a group of 20 people.   This feature works perfectly for projects and Administrative time.  Where I am having an issue is on those personal tasks that people want to track.

    For example:  "I am in a meeting and I get assigned to follow-up on a few leads for a few projects.  Now this is very general work that may not be linked to any known project or Admin time currently in a time sheet.  So I use a sheet of paper maybe note pad to track the tasks, which may or may not get completed."

    I would like to take those and dump them into a personal tasks list which will also show up under my Tasks in SharePoint.  So I can complete and track them along with my other work tasks.  This is a requested feature from my Team Leads, whom have a lot of tasks in a day that do note revolve around a specific project but have a focus on a specific team.

    This also will allow Management, to report on the time, each person spends on personal tasks per week or in comparison to others.

    So my question is, Is this possible?

    Hello Everyone !!!

    I have customized Project Site on project server 2013 and Set as the template, On Project Site, also customized the default issue and risk list. Now I want to undo customization done on risk and issue list and restore the default column.

    I found the link for project server 2010 as below to do the same.

    However I am not able to get the Project Site Collaboration List feature in Manage Site feature on Project Server 2013 Site Setting.

    Please suggest how to revert back issue and risk list with defaults columns. There are lots of other customization done on project site

    I am trying to save an enterprise project (2007) as a file, without the custom enterprise fields. I have tried to save as XML and then import, but receive an "unexpected error" during the import that suggests the XML file is corrupt.  I have tried with multiple files.  The large files tend to generate the error.  The smaller files will import, but some of the tasks are set to 100% complete even though they are not started in the original project.

    We are in the process of migrating from Project Server 2007 to Project Server 2013.  The decision was made to start with a fresh install of 2013 so we could clear out some of the unused configuration and data.  Since some of the custom enterprise fields have been re-created in the new Server, with the same field names, I cannot take a 2007 file and save it into the 2013 Project Server implementation. 

    Any suggestions on how to remove the custom enterprise fields would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

    I'm experiencing an issue when running time phased assignment . My project plan has work effort running from week 48/2015 to week 12 /2016 with 5 resources committed 100% of the time. There is a holiday period shaded out in the plan which is set in the global template for half of week 52 and all of week 53.

    The timephased report however shows 0 hours for week 1

    (I am unable to post images until my account is validated)

    Weeks 2/3/4 are all correct effort wise but week one is blank. I did wonder whether it was related to ISO week but the timephased report definitely brings through week 53 correctly at 0 hours and I would assume that if it was an ISO week issue then week 53 would not appear at all?

    Any help greatly appreciated as I'm losing hours in my reports.

    Hi,

    We have Project Server 2013 environment and Active Directory. PS-AD synchronization job is scheduled to run daily for production environment, weekly for QA environment and monthly for dev environment. Job is running with no issues in Prod and QA environment but it is not running in dev environment. When one of the Project Server Administrator tried to run job manually, it threw (26000) GeneralQueueJobFailed error.

    I checked the logs on app server as well as front end server but didn't get any helpful information.

    Please help.

    I have set up an On-Premise Project server 2013 with Workflow manager configured.

    However, I am running into issues publishing project server 2013 workflow with the following

    I have Project Server 2013 On Premise in SharePoint permission mode. I want everyone in the company ('Everyone') to have read access to every new project site. I want to be able to do this without having to manually add after the project site is setup.

    I know the resources still need to be setup in PWA; I'm OK with that.

    I need to know if it is possible to have 'Everyone' have read access to every project site that would be created. All this in SharePoint permission mode.
